The mission of Sterling Montessori is to create a diverse educational community, grounded in the Montessori philosophy and teaching practices, that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in its students. We strive to empower each student to become life-long learners who respect themselves, others and their environment.
All students are considered to be in the Core of the Multi-Tiered System of Support where high fidelity Montessori curriculum and instruction are the core focus.
Directors, teachers, specialists and other school staff at Sterling Montessori are members of the MTSS team. This team works together with the classroom teacher and parents to assess students and plan targeted strategies and interventions when students need additional support. MTSS is a holistic approach that supports academic growth and achievement, behavioral growth and development, social and emotional needs and absenteeism.
